Let’s be honest about what this season is really all about; The avocados.
Wherever you are in the world, when your avocados are in season and affordable, buy lot’s.
Eat as many as you can and then freeze the rest. Cut them in half, spoon out the meat, and take out the pit. Slice or puré and separate into your preferred portion. Put them in a freezable container and continue to partake of one of nature’s most awesome foods, for at least a few more months.
If you do not think you can stay interested in avocados, try the following:
Sliced avocado with drizzled honey and cinnamon for dessert.
Avocado and banana pure for a snack or baby food.
Avocado as the creaminess in your vegan cream pies.
Avocado as the creaming agent in your soups (add at the end just enough to warm it through, then puré the soup)
Avocado in any smoothie!!!!
Avocado sliced on your morning farm eggs.
And all your favorites; salads, guacamole, sandwiches, etc.
Not a fan of avocados for a meal? You can spread them on your face, body or hair for a major nutrition boost. All those vitamin E’s will help you feel soft.
Why Avocados? Potassium, vitamin C, Vitamin B-6, Healthy fats, fiber, magnesium.
And some of us think they taste very, very good.
